Rachel Byrne BA (Hons), MBA, Assoc CIPD

Rachel Byrne is a graduate of the National College of Ireland where she completed her undergraduate studies in Industrial Relations and Human Resources Management in 2000 and her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in the South East Technological University in 2019. Ms Byrne has almost twenty years’ experience working in human resources in the Education sector.  Professionally, she is the HR/IR Governance Officer in the Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI). The role is wide and varied but ultimately very rewarding as it facilitates and supports staff to develop professionally in order that they can lead and advance their roles in education, training, and youth work in Ireland.  Her role is critical in attracting, recruiting, and retaining the highest possible calibre of staff to create a performing and diverse workforce.  She is passionate about working with staff to promote a culture of equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of life in ETBI.

Patrice Dalton, Dip HRM, M. Ed, BA Hons

Patrice, a graduate from Maynooth University and St. Patrick’s College Carlow, holds a Professional Diploma in Human Resource Management, a Master of Education in Adult and Community Education and a BA Honours in Social Care. She has a long history of Adult Education in the training and employment sector spending many years promoting and managing student work placements and employment for people with additional support needs. Patrice has an excellent track record in job placement and retention. With extensive experience in employer engagement, Patrice strives to ensure a high rate of employee satisfaction in their workplace with a particular interest in staff wellbeing.

Kerrie O’Brien

Kerrie is a Human Resource Intern in Education and Training Boards Ireland, currently studying a Bachelor of Business Honours degree specialising in Human Resource Management in Institute of Technology Carlow. She studies a variety of areas within her degree and has particularly extensive knowledge in Employment Law. Kerrie also has a background working in retail with a history of success in achieving customer satisfaction through continuous provision of top-quality service.
With strong IT Skills and extensive experience of Microsoft Office, Kerrie possesses impressive administration skills. She has a proven track record of prioritising and completing multiple tasks simultaneously. She is a highly organised individual with a strong work ethic, an enthusiasm in all aspects of HR but particularly recruitment and selection.
