Governance and Corporate Structure

The governance structure of ETBI comprises four groups:

  • ETBI Board
  • Reserve Members Forum
  • Chief Executives Operational Forum
  • Financial Audit Risk Committee

The affairs of the Association are under the general supervision of the ETBI Board as set out in the ETBI Constitution.

The affairs of ETBI are under the general supervision of the ETBI Board. The ETBI Board is comprised of sixteen members with eight persons nominated by the Reserve Members Forum and eight persons nominated by the Chief Executives Operation Forum.

The Chief Executives (CE) Operational Forum is a national forum which sixteen members, representing the views of each of the sixteen ETBs. The CE Forum nominates eight of its members to the ETBI Board and nominates the vice chairperson of the ETBI Board and Vice President of ETBI. The CE Forum identifies executive operational and policy issues and assigns or establish a sub-committees, with the approval of ETBI Board for the purpose of the formulation of executive positions and documents.

The ETBI Reserve Members Forum (RMF) is a national forum for issues concerning the reserve function of members boards. The RMF nominates eight of its members to the ETBI Board and nominates the chairperson of the ETBI Board and President of ETBI. The RMF is constituted of sixteen members, one representing the views of each of the sixteen ETBs and reporting back from the forum meetings.

The Finance Audit Risk (FAR) Committee is a sub-committee of the ETBI Board under Section 9.7 of the ETBI Constitution and Standing Orders. Its function is to examine and report to the ETBI Board on financial matters relating to the Association, to assist the ETBI Board in discharging its internal audit functions, and to examine and report to the ETBI Board on risk matters relating to the ETBI Board and the Association.
