ETBI Welcomes the Establishment of 4 new Community Colleges in 2020
Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI) welcomes the announcement of four new Community Colleges under the patronage of Education and Training Boards (ETBs) in September 2020.
Nessa White, General Secretary of ETBI stated “I would like to congratulate Dublin and Dunlaoghaire ETB (DDLETB), Kildare and Wicklow ETB (KWETB) and Louth and Meath ETB (LMETB) on their successes in the recent patronage competitions for four new post-primary schools in their areas. I am also delighted for the parents and students in these areas as they will benefit greatly from the opening of state, multidenominational, co-educational post-primary schools in their localities. As ETBs have established numerous primary and post-primary schools in recent years, they have a great deal of experience in setting up new schools in a short space of time”.
ETBs have a long-established history in providing the highest quality of education at primary, post-primary and further education and training level. ETB Community Colleges have an ethos based on the core values of Excellence in Education, Equality, Care, Respect and Community. They also benefit from the services provided to the schools from their local ETB.
