ETBI Statement on Proposed New Community National School
Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI) welcomes today’s announcement by the Minister for Education and Skills that the Bishop of Kerry Dr Raymond Browne is to make available Two Mile/Cahooreigh National School to Kerry Education and Training Board (ETB), which will now open a new Community National School in September 2017.
In welcoming this exciting development, ETBI General Secretary Michael Moriarty states:
This proposed change of school patronage is highly significant as it is the first such patronage change under the Minister’s Reconfiguration Plan. ETBI lauds the Bishop of Kerry and Kerry ETB for their local collaboration in this process. I commend the mutual confidence of both parties in taking the lead in the reconfiguration process by agreeing to collaborate with this exciting development.
