Mungret Community College

Mungret Community College opened its doors on 29th August to 94 first year pupils. Liam O’Mahoney School Principal outlined today is a very significant milestone as our new school takes its first steps on the journey to providing high quality post-primary educational facility for the Mungret, Raheen and Dooradoyle areas of Limerick.

Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB) was awarded patronage of the college in November of last year ,  LCETB has great experience in providing education to second level students in Limerick City and County. George O’Callaghan, LCETB Chief Executive, said: “I am delighted Mungret Community College opened today to students and the LCETB looks forward to continuing to work with the local community in supporting the development of the school”. The school has a long-term projected enrolment of 600 students and is a participant school of the Limerick Area Post-Primary Schools Common Application System (CAS).
